Calvin Denson grew up in Beaumont, Tx and like most young kids, television along with music was vital. TV shows played pictures that kept you engaged and the rhythmic melodies from the radio painted pictures in your mind. Those pictures Calvin seen and imagined gave birth to a storyteller deep inside of him. Like most beginning writers it started as personal writings, but something deep down nudged at Calvin to get his writings out in front of fresh eyes. He released his first novel in 2010, "Audumn" and once he seen his name across the bottom of a published work of art, Calvin was hooked.
"I would say that I fell in love with storytelling in Chapter 5 of my first book, Audumn. When I saw the way that I put words together, I knew that I was special..."
Calvin's readers would say the same thing because the reviews painted the same exact picture. That this novel was special, and it held them down to the last words. But don't let us tell you, here's one quote from a review of "Audumn"...
"I read the entire book in 1 day. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. Audumn is someone that all of us can relate with. Throughout the book you will laugh & cry as well as experience moments of shock & suspense. A very easy & captivating read."
After reading his answer about his favorite authors and the reasons they are, we can see why Calvin's literary creations are so captivating. In no particular order, names like the late King of Urban Fiction Eric Jerome Dickey, the Master of Legal Thrillers John Grisham and the Godfather of Horror Stephen King jumped from the page. With favorites of that caliber, it was no wonder Mr. Denson became such a talented writer, but his inspirations are much deeper. The release of his first novel was bittersweet because in that same year his mother Janice Boswell passed away from cancer.
Mrs. Boswell was a teacher for the Beaumont School District and her presence was felt through all of the kids she taught. Calvin continued writing, releasing two novels that amazed his readers. In October of 2017 he released "Tree: In Life Seasons Do Change" and in March of 2018 he released "Grace". Knowing his mother would be proud of his accomplishments Calvin pushed forward but that deep down nudge he would feel was persistent. In May of 2018, the Christian Fiction author began his first in a series of Children's book and it was a commemoration to the teacher that touched so many lives.
The loving teacher Ms. Boswell would teach her kids a new way of coping with problems, learning new tasks, respecting one another and so much more. Another inspiration for Calvin though, is his son Cekorrion, the track star at his school who enjoys telling people that his father is an author. Calvin said his readers also inspire him to write more after every meet or book signing he has. The support is a warm feeling that nurtures the creative inside him and the one way he knows how to return that favor is to share another literary love language in the form of a new book.

He also has two more Children's books coming out in the beginning of 2024.
"I would love for my books to someday become a movie or colleges, high schools and middle schools study my books in lectures from their professors."
